I hope to us this blog as a space to gather my thoughts on what I want Faith in Governance to represent. I have many ideas about how the US and world can improve, and I hope to refine my writing and explore how I communicate ideas. Convincing people to have faith in governance will not be an easy task, but I hope to explore different ideas in this blog that may convince people to look a the government and society in a different light. I believe that current levels of distrust in institutions and the general ineffectiveness of our current government has to be fixed. Everyone deserves to live a dignified life, and we have a lot of work ahead of us as a society to get there.
While exploring these larger societal questions I hope to practice my writing in a variety of manners. Some posts will be about policy, economics, and other topics that will influence people’s faith in governance. Other posts will be more centrally focused on Washington DC. Local issues, food and event reviews, sports talk and more. It is the city I live in and love, and local issues often have a larger direct impact on people’s lives, and should be focused on. Also, I love sci-fi and fantasy. I hope to occasionally write short fictional stories. Besides a fun outlet, exploring abstract ideas can inspire action or proactive thought in the real world.
